This training takes a real, honest look at addiction and child welfare through the lens of lived experience, centering the voice of a parent who has personally navigated the child welfare system while in recovery. You will be able to hear an in-depth, first-person account of a parent's journey—from the struggles of addiction and system involvement to healing, growth, and reunification.
This session helps us understand the challenges families face and how things like stigma and bias can get in the way. Most importantly, it shows how empathy, support, and understanding can make a huge difference.
Dinner, childcare, and a training certificate will be provided.
